
Summer Programs
McKinna Learning Academy’s summer program is designed to help students practice necessary skills such as writing and math, in preparation for the upcoming school year. After evaluating your child’s skills, we create a personalized program using evidence-based teaching techniques honed to your child’s needs.
This 4-week program (Mondays-Thursdays) strengthens reading, writing, and math skills for elementary students in a fun, creative, and supportive environment.
Each student is assessed on the first day to determine her/his skill level in all three academic areas.

Elementary Academic Skills: Reading, Writing, and Math
Middle school is challenging and moves fast. Our 4-week program helps current middle schoolers build the skills they need to excel.
We focus on developing study techniques and organization systems, as well as managing summer reading assignments, strengthening math skills, and developing five-paragraph expository writing skills.

7th and 8th Grade
Middle School Skill Builder
Help your child make a smooth transition to middle school. This 4-week program prepares incoming 6th graders by developing study techniques and organization systems that will start them off on the right foot on their first day of middle school.
In addition, we help students manage summer reading assignments, strengthen their math skills, and develop five-paragraph expository writing skills.

The Social Spark Lab is a warm, engaging social-skills program designed to help students develop confidence in communication, friendship, and self-expression. Through a playful yet structured approach, students learn how to navigate real-life social situations while strengthening expressive language skills in a supportive environment.
Students are placed in small groups of 2–4 peers, allowing for individualized support, meaningful interaction, and strong peer connections.
